Joseph Sozzani

Joseph Sozzani is a Board Certified Intellectual Property Attorney specializing in patent, trademark, copyright, trade secrets, entertainment and unfair competition law. Mr. Sozzani began his legal career as a Patent Litigation Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, LLP in New York City where his practice concentrated on a diverse range of complex intellectual property litigation, licensing and transactional matters, including the representation of numerous Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Sozzani has also served as General Counsel for a $350M private equity investment firm where he advised senior executives on an array of litigation, IP, licensing, operational, transactional and strategic business matters relating to the acquisition, development and management of a diverse portfolio of assets. Mr. Sozzani gained additional trial experience practicing as one of the founding members of the Tampa, Florida offices of Brinks, Gilson & Lione, PC where he litigated complex trademark, patent, copyright, unfair competition, false advertising and trade secret cases in state and federal courts. Most recently, Mr. Sozzani launched Infinity IP Law, PLLC – a full service intellectual property firm providing intellectual property representation worldwide.

He has experience litigating copyright, trademark, patent, trade dress, trade secret, false advertising and unfair competition cases in both state and federal courts across the United States. He has handled matters relating to various fields including: amusements, attractions, banking, celebrity licensing, consumer products, digital storage, e-commerce, electronics, entertainment, firearms, manufacturing, music, lighting, IT, lasers, medical devices, mobile telecommunications, payment systems, pharmaceuticals, plastics, software, sports and social media. In addition to litigation, his practice involves counseling individuals and companies on the acquisition, evaluation, licensing, policing and enforcement of all forms of IP worldwide.
